U.S. Soccer status, on the official and the roster
United States soccer organizations connect Horizon to U.S. Soccer's Learning Center. Officials link a 16-digit U.S. Soccer ID once. Horizon then shows licenses, background-check status, and U.S. Soccer safeguarding on that person. Assignors review one official or the whole roster.
How the connection works
Officials keep one U.S. Soccer ID with their Horizon person. Horizon reads Learning Center licenses, background-check status, and U.S. Soccer safeguarding and shows them next to the person you schedule. Assignors do not open a second system to check the weekend slate.
- Officials link one 16-digit U.S. Soccer ID, or ask Horizon to find it from their email
- Horizon shows Learning Center licenses on that profile, each Active or Expired
- Background-check status and U.S. Soccer safeguarding stay with the person
- Assignors see that status when they open the official
- Assignors and organization administrators review the whole roster from Members Directory
One connection, not a second assigning tool
Horizon connects to the Learning Center so federation status sits on the official. Organization administrators can also search the Learning Center from Members Directory for someone who is not linked yet. Officials can still link their own ID when they have the 16 digits.

From a U.S. Soccer ID to a roster you can scan
- 1 Official or organization administrator links a 16-digit U.S. Soccer ID
- 2 Horizon shows licenses, background check, and safeguarding
- 3 Assignors see that status on the official
- 4 The directory lists the whole roster, and Horizon emails before items expire
Officials link once. Status follows the person. Assignors review one profile or the full list.
Who the connection serves
- Officials
- Assignors and schedulers
- United States soccer organizations
The U.S. Soccer ID belongs to the official, not to one organization. Link it once and it travels with them.
Why soccer organizations ask for this
See it on the official you are about to assign
Assignors and organization administrators see a U.S. Soccer card on an official's profile once that official is linked. Each license shows as Active or Expired. Other officials do not see another person's U.S. Soccer card.
Review the whole roster from Members Directory
In a United States soccer organization, assignors and organization administrators open U.S. Soccer status from Utilities on Members Directory. The list shows who is linked, each license, background-check status, and safeguarding. Search by name or license. Counts help you find people who are not linked, whose licenses or background checks are expiring or expired, or who are on the U.S. Soccer safeguarding list.
- Organization administrators can search the Learning Center for someone who is not linked yet
- They can also search everyone who is not linked, one person at a time
- Horizon uses that official's email, then name and date of birth. There is no place to type an ID on that list.

Expiration emails, without a spreadsheet
Officials receive an email 60 days and 30 days before a license or background check expires. Organization administrators in that official's United States soccer organizations, and assignors who have that official on an upcoming assignment, receive an email when a license or background check expires or is removed.
